EDUCATE

BMI partners with local colleges, businesses, and the NC Works Program to provide the highest level of education, hands on experience and options for trade skills.

EMPLOY

Through our partnerships with local community colleges and businesses, BMI will work to ensure there are job opportunities for all our program graduates. The trade and skill programs we offer are in high demand with very competitive starting salaries. Commitment to the process is key.

ENRICH

We are a mentorship program focused on enriching the whole man! Our goal is to improve the future of every mentee and walk with him through a journey to a better life. This requires a partnership with the ultimate goal to enrich.

The Bridge Mentor Initiative helps young men, who have demonstrated a financial need, realize their potential and become gainfully employed visionaries thus preparing for a successful, secure, and productive future.  BMI aims to break the stereotypes, and misguided traits of manhood and introduce strong role models who provide positive examples of manhood.   

 

 

Our Mission

Bridge provides young men, ages 17 and up who have qualified for the program, with a consistent structured environment that help cultivate the next generation of educated responsible young men by providing educational opportunities, job training, apprenticeships, transformative skills, and wrap around services that will produce successful citizens, fathers, and men.  By collaborating with community resources and educational systems, Bridge Mentor Initiative strives to be an agent of change by building authentic relationships that foster excellence in every area of their lives.

Our Goals 

 

  • To provide relevant educational, entrepreneurial and program certifications for young men that will aid in their successful development and financial security 

 

  • To provide educational opportunities and post high school training for young men with defined criteria; and track the success of their educational endeavors  

 

  • To build respect, empathy, kindness and trustworthiness in young men to help them become productive global citizens and agents of change 

 

  • To introduce and partner young men with community leaders as mentors, through group and one-on-one apprenticeship opportunities  

 

  • To build strong relationships with public and private organizations to provide opportunities and resources that will enrich our young men’s experience
